Summer Haikus

Not quite sure what happened in May, but here are a few summer haikus for June. They were written a while ago, of course, as we haven't seen much summer so far this year...

                I
Along the Isis
punts make their lazy way to
Folly Bridge and tea.

               II
Hot summer days when
peacock butterflies gather
on the buddleia.

                III
At Mortehoe we stop
for ice-cream and to caress
the ginger church cat.

                IV
Long hot summer days.
The weather breaks on the day
the exams finish.
